Spring is in the air

I have seen so many cute flower pot cards on people's blogs so I had to jump on the band wagon and make my own. They are so cute and really easy if you use the Big Shot.

No stamp set required.

CS: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss

Accessories: Big Shot, Daisies #2 Die, Large and small Oval Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Walk in the Park DSP, Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon.

CS: Close to Cocoa, Regal Rose, Apricot Appeal, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Accessories: Big Shot, Build a Flower Die, Scallop Edge Punch, 5-Petal flower Punch, 5/8" Regal Rose Ribbon, Candy Cane Lane DSP

I made this for a workshop I had for Shelly's workshop. This bag type thing uses the Big Shot along with the Top Note and Beautiful Butterflies Dies along with the Wide Oval Punch. I used Bella Rose DSP Pink Pirouette CS and Pink Pirouette 5/8" striped ribbon. I really like how it turned out and they all thought it was great.

We also made this super simple card at Shelly's workshop.

Stamp Set: Cheap Talk
Ink: Old Olive, Summer Sun, Pacific Point, Chocolate Chip
CS: Pacific Point, Old Olive, Whisper White
Accessories: Good Morning Sunshine DSP, sponge

We had a great time at the workshop and I got three bookings from it. I can't wait for there workshops. Thanks, Maria/April, Sandy and Mallory for booking the workshops!

May Stamp club projects

Better late then never right? I just can't seem to find the time to blog very often, so when I do it's always late. These are the projects we did at my last stamp club. I do have to apologize for the picture quality though. I don't know why, but my camera won't focus very well, but you get the general idea.

This is a gate fold card that I turned into a Father's Day card. I couldn't find a good Happy Father's Day stamp that went with this card so I used Define your Life and the word "Unique". It worked well for Father's Day. I got the directions for this card here.

Card opened.
Stamp Set: Sense of Time, Define your Life

CS: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss

Ink: Chocolate Chip

Accessories: Good Morning Sunshine DSP, Circle Scissor Plus, 1" circle punch, Vintage Brads, Sponge, Cutter Kit.

This is a box we made using the Box #2 Bigz XL die. I just love how this box comes together. It hardly needs any adhesive and the lid it tight. I just love it!
Stamp Set: Oval All

CS: Pacific Point textured, Whisper White

Ink: Pacific Point

Accessories: Big Shot, Good Morning Sunshine DSP, Lg. Oval Punch, Scalloped Oval Punch, Dimensionals, 5/8" striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

I hope you enjoy!

April projects

For stamp club this month we made these two projects.

A hidden message card using Great Friends stamp set from the Occassions mini. I just love this stamp set! You move the Baja Breeze part and it lifts up to reveal a hidden message. I totally cased this card. Thank you to whoever came up with it! I wish I could remember.

Stamp set: Great Friends, Matchbox Messages

CS: Basic Gray, Baja Breeze, Whisper White

Ink: Baja Breeze, Basic Gray

Accessories: Silver Brad, Scallop Edge Punch, Matchbox die, White grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals, Walk in the Park DSP.

This is the new Matchbox die for the Big Shot that is sold in the Occassions mini. I love how fast you can make these Matchboxs. They are perfect for 4 Nuggets. I didn't use any stamp sets for this project. It uses In Color textured CS, Good Morning Sunshine DSP, and 5/8" striped grograin ribbon. I just love it! We also had a demonstrator meeting with about 28 people and I was in charge of one of the Make & Takes. We made this same thing. They loved it too!

I was also in a swap with other demonstrators and these are the 2 cards I made as well as one for our group meetings swap.

Matchbox Messages Stamp set, Good Morning Sunshine DSP, Scallop Oval Punch.

New Very Versitile stamp set, Urban Oasis DSP, and other things.

Oval All and Great Friends Stamp Set, Chocolate Chip Patterns DSP. I colored the DSP with Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss and an aqua painter. You can't tell from the picture, but the White part of the card is textured with Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates for the Big Shot. I just love what it does to CS.

That's all for now, but I'm working on some more cards, so stay tuned...

Stamp Set: Fifth Avenue Floral, All Holidays

CS: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White

Stamp Set: Good Friends

CS: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, So Saffron

Ink: Chocolate Chip, So Saffron

These last 2 projects are one's we made at our last group meeting. This one was created by Carrie Rhoades. I just love her and her projects. I thought this was so cleaver since it uses 2 Scallop Envelope dies stuck together with Tombow multi purpose adhesive. It is perfect for a small candy!

Sydney's Birthday party

My youngest turned 5 the end of February and she wanted a princess birthday party. This was her first birthday party so I wanted to make it special. This is the invitation we gave her friends only 2 days before the party. Yea, I was slow to make them, but I think they turned out cute.
I used Crazy for Cupcakes and Hugs and Wishes stamp set.
Scalloped Circle Bigz die, Circle Scissors Plus and some retired DSP. The hole card ended up being 5x5. It is very cute size card.
For her first birthday party I wanted them to make somethings. Stampin' Up! used to sell Polyshrink which is like shrinky dink, so I stamped a princess using Pretty Princess then colored it and shrunk it for the kids ahead of time. I had the princesses along with beads and stretchy cord that Stampin' Up! used to sell. It worked perfect for the necklaces.

I also had some little tote bags along with a bunch of flowers I cut out using the Big Shot and Build a Flower Bigz die. I bought some felt with sticky back so they just had to peel and stick. They loved it then the bag turned into there candy holder for the pinata candy.
I think they all had a great time and they loved the projects that they made. Sydney was a very happy camper that day.
After the party Sydney said "What if it was my birthday everyday?" I hope not because once a year is plenty for me!

Valentine's ipod

I saw this in Family Fun magazine and knew I had to make it for my 4 kids for Valentine's Day. I asked each of them what there favorite color was so they all got a custom made ipod made out of sweethearts candy and peanut butter cups. Most of them thought they were cool and didn't want to eat them. Sydney thought they were stupid because it wasn't a real ipod. She got over it though when she realized nobodies was a real ipod.
I thought they were really cute and really easy to make especially since Family Fun had the round part and the music screen part already done for you. ROCK ON!!!

Fun photo holders

We made these at my last Christmas stamp camp. I think they turned out sooo cute I just had to post the picture and let you see how they look. They hold my cute kids pictures. I gave a set of these to my mom for her birthday this week and she loved them. She brought them to work and now everyone can see how cute her grand kids are. I love how the stamp set had the empty space. A perfect place for there names, or any other info you want to put there!

I used 4 large binder clips along with the Curly Label Punch Bunch, Kiwi Kiss ink, Bella Rose DSP and Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon.
